Chioma Eze

Impact & Community Development Lead

Community Development Social Enterprise Impact Evaluation

Chioma's entry into development work began with a single question that has never fully left her: why do so many well-resourced, well-intentioned interventions leave communities no better off than they found them? Pursuing that question has taken her across West Africa and the UK, through roles in international NGOs, government policy, social enterprise, and community organising. She holds a Masters in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and a certification in Impact Evaluation from the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). She is also a trained facilitator in Asset-Based Community Development and has delivered the methodology to practitioners in eleven countries. What distinguishes Chioma's approach is her insistence that community members are never objects of change but agents of it. She brings this conviction into her ReTAIE work with equal force — believing that the same respect for agency that drives effective community development is what separates genuine personal impact from performance of impact. She is rigorous, warm, politically clear-eyed, and deeply practical.

Impact is not something you do to a community or a situation. It is something you co-create with it. The biggest mistake I see well-meaning people make is arriving with solutions before they have genuinely listened. The quality of your listening before you act is the single biggest predictor of whether your action will actually help.
"
The work is not about what you want to change. It is about what the people affected by the change want for themselves.

The ReTAIE Principle Assessment

There comes a time in every life when movement is no longer enough — alignment becomes necessary. This assessment is designed to help you pause, reflect, and confront your current reality with honesty and clarity.

It is not a test of intelligence, success, or spirituality. It is a tool for self-discovery, alignment, and intentional transformation.

T

How to Approach This

🎯
Be Honest
Answer based on your current reality, not your ideal self.
🌱
Stay Open
Be willing to confront what is uncomfortable but necessary.
💪
Take Responsibility
Your results are not for judgment — they are for alignment and growth.

There are no "good" or "bad" scores — only truthful indicators.
A low score is a call for attention and transformation. A high score is a call for consistency and multiplication.

Before You Begin, Ask Yourself

  • Am I ready to see myself truthfully?
  • Am I willing to change what I discover?
  • Am I prepared to take responsibility for my growth?
